Ergobaby Perfomance Carrier Review
If you've been here a while, you know I love hiking and I love soft baby carriers. If you're new here, hi 👋 I love hiking and I love soft baby carriers.
With my second baby, I knew having two carriers meant more options, either having one in the house and one in the car, or being able to carry both my children out hiking or when needed.
So the second Ergobaby carrier I got was the Performance carrier off Vinted (always worth looking at before buying brand new).
I started using this carrier when my baby was about 5 months old, as I was using other types of carriers before that.

Review:
So here's my honest review about this carrier:
My favourite thing - it is seriously easy to put on and use. It consists of one panel and three straps, so is very quick to become familiar with. Plus the padded shoulder straps are very comfy
Adjustability - There are only three straps and the waistband to adjust with this carrier, so it is quick and easy to put on and off. However, there is only a set price of material for baby's hips in the 'M' position so may not suit every baby and every age
Practical - Yes, this carrier makes baby wearing really simple and easy and does exactly what a baby carrier should do. The panel is a set length without any headrest, so does allow baby's head to always be free and to move around. It has a built-in sunshade and one zip pocket at the front
Feeding - I have only bottle fed with this carrier and as baby's head is completely free, it makes feeding easy
Comfort and design - I really am a big fan of the comfort and design of this carrier. Baby feels very close and cuddly when in the carrier and it is so simple to use. The carrier puts baby's hips in the deep 'M' position and feels supportive around baby's spine, so is comfortable in the carrier.
I feel comfortable and secure using it, although the waistband doesn't have any additional support, it does distrubute weight evenly across the hips The Ergobaby Performance is a great carrier to use, I feel both my baby and myself are happy and comfortable using it and can wear it for long periods of time without any discomfort. My only negative is that the zip pocket at the front of the carrier is only material, so whatever you put in the pocket, your baby will be able to feel. So keys and large phones will make baby uncomfortable.
Also, this carrier can only be used for inward facing when front carrying and back carrying, you can not outward face your baby in this carrier. (If this were possible in this carrier I would give it 5/5!) Additionally, I have used this back carrying my toddler and we both love it!It's really easy for him to climb into, and really quick and east for me to adjust once he's in. Probably even easier than the Ergobaby Omni Breeze Carrier.
Overall - 4/5
